Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectation #3: A Reflective, Creative, and Holistic Thinker
A Reflective, Creative, and Holistic Thinker who solves problems and makes responsible decisions with an informed moral conscience for the common good. During our course of study we looked at five categories of law: eternal law, divine law, natural law, human law, and canon law (Developed out of Catholic Faith). No one law is "better" than the next. When dealing with a moral problem, as Catholics we are in the unique position to utilize from all five laws. Please find below my example of a moral problem in a school setting and Catholic and non-religious approach to resolving the problem.

Moral Decision Making Through Incorporation of 21 Century Teaching Learning Strategies
In this module of study we were introducted to a common method of moral decision-making which is introduced to students in the grade nine Ontario Curriculum Religion program; See, Judge, Act, and Evaluate. This model of moral decision making in conjuction with social teachings of the Cathoic Church and Institute of Catholic Education can be used to assist students when confronted by making moral decisions inside and outside of the classroom.
Through this activity the virtue of Justice can be related to the following Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations (OCGSEs):
A responsible Citizen Who;
• Acts morally and legally as a person formed in Catholic traditions.
OCSGE 7(a)
• Accepts accountability for one's own actions. OCSGE 7(b)

of today's contemporary society. OCSGE 7(g)
• Respects the environment and uses resources wisely. OCSGE 7(i)

Through this activity we expect the students to demonstrate the virtue of Justice.
