The Compendium of the Social Doctrine of the Catholic Church 329 states riches fulfills their function of service to man when they are destined to produce benefits for others and for society. This teaches us that our riches are not only meant for us alone but to be shared with those in need in our society. While the riches spoken of here may be monetary, I would like to extend the wealth that to cognitive, psychological, and social resources of people. We can service many in need more so through these riches than monetary. As teachers, we need to ensure students use their riches, repsonsbility taking into consideration, society, and the environment.

Ecology and Faith
Catholic tradition insists that we show our respect for the Creator by our stewardship of creation. We are called to protect people and the planet, living our faith in relationship with all of God’s creation. This environmental challenge has fundamental, moral, and ethical dimensions which cannot be ignored. Please view the file below to see how teachers can work with students to "rule " responsibly and demonstrate OCSGE of being a Responsbile Citizen.
