Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectation #1: A Discerning Believer Formed in the Catholic Faith Community

A Discerning Believer Formed in the Catholic Faith Community Who:
Respects the faith traditions, world religions, and life-journeys of all
people of good will.  It is imperative that we teach our students to follow their faith all the while respecting the world religions and traditions. We live in a world where a difference in religion causes misunderstandings and wars between countries.  By teaching respect for other world religions, we can help create a world of understanding and peace.

Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectation #3:
Reflective, Creative, Holistic Thinker

A Reflective, Creative, and Holistic Thinker who solves problems and makes responsible decisions with an informed moral conscience for the common good.  As teachers it is vital that we reflect on our practice. It is through reflection that we allow God into our hearts to help guide us through any challenges that we may be facing. Part of creating a reflective student is through the virtues program.  By integrating a virtues program in the school, we have the unique opportunity to teach the "whole child" and not just curriculum thereby creating students whose beliefs are rooted in the Catholic faith.
